A Journey Back to My Roots

Beautiful Yogis,

I hope you’ve been able to integrate our formal practice into your daily lives, finding moments of stillness off the mat. It’s been a huge start to the term, with many personal wins! After over 3 months of consistent practice, it's exciting to see you mastering transitions and inversions. We're now ready to embrace more flow before introducing new sequences in weeks 4-6.

During our unexpected trip to Melbourne, I had the chance to reconnect with my very first yoga teacher, Greg. Over 25 years ago, his Ashtanga classes were a lifeline for me. Although I no longer practice Ashtanga, Greg's guidance back then was pivotal in helping me find peace and purpose, overcome self-destructive tendencies, and build a new life. Visiting him was emotional and reminded me of how transformative yoga can be.

Reflecting on our community, our Monday 4pm class faced low attendance, so I invited past students to join us for free for the next 8 weeks. Your presence has been a gift and has helped keep this class alive. For any past students who missed the invitation, please reach out. We still have the odd spot available, and I would love to see you again.

Yoga has given me so much, and I’m passionate about sharing this practice with you all. It’s not just about the physical benefits but the mental clarity, emotional resilience, and community support. Our journey together is about building trust, encouraging growth, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome and supported.

P.S. After taking a break from social media, I've decided to stay off it. This hiatus has been profoundly relieving and has allowed me to focus more deeply on our community and my own personal growth.
