FAQs

Got questions? We’ve got answers! Here are the most common inquiries about Sadie Wells Yoga to help you feel confident and prepared. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, I’m always just a message away.

  • When I first imagined Sadie Wells Yoga, I wanted to create more than just a yoga studio—I wanted to create a home for practice. A place where every detail matters, from the quality of the props to the energy in the room.

Our studio is intentionally small and purpose-built to offer an intimate experience. Classes are capped at ten students, allowing for personalised attention and a chance to really connect with your practice.

We focus on progression and consistency. Rather than drop-in classes, our terms are designed to build over time, helping you grow in confidence, strength, and skill.

And then there are the little things—the thoughtful touches that make a difference. High-end mats, handcrafted props, chilled lemon-infused water, essential oils, and a soothing hot/cold towel at the end of each class. These moments are there to remind you to pause, breathe, and take care of yourself.

It’s yoga—but elevated. A space to not just practice, but transform.

  • Consistency is where the magic happens. Our membership model offers:

    • A structured practice plan for steady progress.

    • Exclusive perks like guest passes, SWY merch, and personal guidance.

    • A vibrant community to support your journey.

Drop-ins are fun, but membership ensures you get the full benefits of a dedicated yoga practice.

  • Our memberships are designed around progressive sequences that build from week to week. To maintain the integrity of this structure and support your growth, we close memberships once the term begins. This ensures all members start together and move through the program with intention.

If you’ve missed the cut-off, don’t worry! You can join the waitlist for early access to Term 2 memberships or explore our class passes in the meantime.

  • We run four 10-week terms each year, aligned with school terms. These terms provide consistency and progress, while intentional holiday breaks offer time to rest, recharge, and integrate the benefits of your practice.

This rhythm keeps us all refreshed and ready for the next step in our yoga journey.

  • Right here at SWY! Our Begin & Build classes are designed with beginners in mind, offering slower-paced movements and plenty of guidance. As long as you’re comfortable getting up and down from the floor, you’ll fit right in.

  • Here’s a quick guide:

    • Begin & Build: Perfect for beginners or those returning to yoga. Focuses on foundational movements and alignment.

    • Middle Ground: Moderate-paced sequences to deepen strength, flexibility, and flow.

    • Spicy Warriors: Advanced flows for experienced yogis looking for a challenge.

Still unsure? Send me a message, and I’ll help you find the best fit!

  • For the best results, aim for 2–3 classes per week. This consistency builds strength, flexibility, and mindfulness.

Our Gold Membership gives you the flexibility to fit yoga into your schedule, ensuring you get the most out of your practice.

  • Not at all—SWY is a community as much as it is a studio. While our thoughtfully structured classes are at the core of what we do, the experience extends beyond the mat.

    Throughout the year, we offer:

    • End-of-term Closing Circles – A free community gathering to reflect, connect, and celebrate progress.

    • New Year & Seasonal Events – Silent disco yoga, workshops, and special themed practices to mark transitions with intention.

    • Social Gatherings – Dinners, casual meetups, and shared experiences that strengthen the bonds within our community.

    • Transformative Retreats – Luxury getaways designed to take your practice deeper, with movement, mindfulness, and deep rest.

We believe that yoga isn’t just about what happens in class—it’s about fostering meaningful connections, shared experiences, and a sense of belonging.

    • Arrive 10 minutes early to settle in (with an empty stomach!)

    • We provide premium mats and props, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.

    • Hydrate before class or enjoy our signature lemon water—it’s a member favourite!

  • We start our classes on time, and the door locks once we begin to maintain the flow of the session. If you’re running late, simply reschedule online and join us next time—no stress!

  • Life happens! If you can’t make class, please cancel at least 12 hours in advance so someone else can take your spot. Late cancellations incur a $15 fee, and no-shows a $25 fee—just to keep things fair for everyone.

  • We’ve got plenty of parking! Use the driveways, grass verges (keep wheels off the tarmac), or spots further up the road. Please park considerately to keep things smooth for everyone.

  • We all do—and your safety is my priority. I offer modifications in class to accommodate common concerns, but I always recommend consulting your GP, physio, or specialist for specific advice.

Listen to your body—never push into pain. If something doesn’t feel right, let me know, and we’ll find an alternative approach that works for you.
