This isn’t just yoga —

It’s a lifeline — for women who’ve lived.
Strong, curious, craving what’s real — but pulled in a hundred directions.

Midlife is loud. This space is not.

We didn’t come here to perform.
We’re not here for the selfies.

We’re here to rebuild what matters.
No fluff. No 17-step bullsh*t.

Just movement, breath, and a space to land.
An hour that’s just for you —
no pressure, no noise, no pretending.

You’re already doing enough.
This is where you don’t have to.

And in case no one’s told you lately: you’re allowed to fall apart here.

Because strength isn’t the absence of struggle.
It’s knowing when to put it down.

Meet Sadie.

I’ve been practising yoga for over 25 years. It’s seen me through the mess, the magic, and the full-body meltdowns. For me, it’s more than movement — it’s been a way to stay rooted when everything else was coming undone.

I created Sadie Wells Yoga to offer that same sense of steadiness to others — especially women navigating the beautiful, brutal complexity of midlife.

This isn’t about fixing yourself or levelling up.

It’s about returning — to your body, your breath, and your own quiet knowing.

What we do here is grounded and smart.

We focus on intelligent sequencing, nervous system-aware practices, and the quiet power of consistency.

We don’t just stretch — we build strength, breathe deeper, and grow. Together.

Whether you’re new to the mat or returning after years away, there’s room for you here. Come as you are.

A rhythm you can return to.

Movement with meaning.
Rest without guilt.
Strength that holds — even when life gets messy.

We don’t do drop-ins.
Our 6-week modules are designed for consistency, clarity, and real change — without the burnout.

Each round follows a rhythm of effort and ease.
We build. We rest. We repeat.

This isn’t about chasing flexibility.
It’s about choosing yourself — week after week.

Why we’re different.

We’re not here for hollow mantras or flashy poses.

We’re here to feel strong, connected, and just a little more sane — one breath at a time.

This is a space for:

  • Thoughtful sequencing

  • Nervous system-aware teaching

  • Real conversations

  • Steady progress

  • Full permission to show up as you are

We don’t just practise yoga.
We move. We pause. We reflect.

And we do it together — in a space that actually makes space.

This isn’t a vibe.
It’s a practice that clears the noise so you can hear yourself again.

A note from Sadie.

When I was deep in the mess of midlife — the anxiety, the insomnia, the joint pain — I found myself craving a kind of yoga that didn’t seem to exist.

Something smart.
Something grounded.
Something built for the long haul.

So I created it.

I only teach four classes a week — not because I’m coasting, but because I pour everything into them.

This is the kind of practice I needed:
A steady rhythm.
Honest conversation.
A space that never asks you to pretend.

If that’s what you’re craving too — you’ve found your place.

This is what real progress feels like…

  • “There’s something about this space that’s hard to put into words. I always leave feeling grounded, lighter, and somehow more like myself — every single time.”

    — Ruth

  • “Coming here each week is more than just movement — it’s become a rhythm in my life. The classes, the people, the way Sadie teaches… it holds me together in a way I didn’t know I needed.”

    — Kelly

  • “Such a beautiful space to unwind and forget everything for a moment — I felt so lucky to squeeze into these classes while visiting.”

    — Storm

From the journal.

New reflections from the mat — and midlife life.

Not to be ageist, but I’m not taking advice from a 23-year-old.

I’ve been on the hunt for someone local to tame my eyebrows. Maybe even my lashes too — nothing dramatic, just a little tint or lift. Something that says, I’ve got my sh*t together, even if I’ve been crying in the Woollies car park again.

The Ones Without the Hashtags

Just back from another trip to the doc, and had a moment — one of those unexpected reflections that hit you when you’re sitting in your car, midlife hair doing its own thing, brain a little foggy, body just trying to keep up.

This isn’t wellness — it’s a sh*tshow.

Fair warning, this one’s got some heat.

I had something else planned for this week’s post. Something thoughtful. Something tidy. Something nice. But honestly?

Retreats at SWY.

Stillness. Sunlight. Soulful connection.

Our sold-out May 2025 retreat reminded me just how powerful it is to pause — to exhale, and remember who you are beneath the noise.

So we’re doing it again.
