How yoga found me.
Before becoming a yoga teacher—or a mother—I lived in the fast, chaotic world of the performance industry as an actor. Outwardly, it was a life filled with creativity and expression, but beneath the surface, I was battling deep, unresolved trauma.
I knew I was broken, but I didn’t know how to heal. Therapy felt like a revolving door, and I coped the only way I knew how—swinging between extremes, from self-sabotage to rigid control, searching for something to make me feel whole.
I stumbled into yoga almost by accident—initially seeking relief for a significant back injury—but what I found was something far greater. Yoga offered me stillness. A space where, for the first time, I could sit with myself without running, without numbing, without needing to be "fixed." It didn’t hand me answers; it showed me how to listen.
This practice became my foundation—not just for healing, but for trusting my own wisdom, for stepping into my life with clarity and intention. And it’s that same foundation that shapes everything I offer at Sadie Wells Yoga. Here, yoga isn’t about performing. It’s about learning to be present with yourself, exactly as you are.
What I believe.
Yoga, to me, is the balance of effort and ease, movement and stillness, strength and surrender. Growth happens in the space between comfort and challenge—where we push just enough to expand our limits but remain deeply in tune with our bodies.
